Kia ora, hello

Welcome to Beyond Curiosity

I'm Krysta, coach and cognitive behavioural neuroscientist. I use my training and experience to create the space we need to think.

We are often caught up in curiosity - why things happen, what might happen, what's next, what if...? Our coaching conversations will bring clarity and direction to those thoughts to keep you moving forwards.

My goal is to help you embrace curiosity, and take your thinking beyond this to moments of insight, new ideas, or the actions and intentions needed for better wellbeing and higher performance.

I look forward to working with you!

Beyond Curiosity creates a space to think

I started Beyond Curiosity to provide a different type of conversation for people needing a space to work out their thoughts and feelings. This is an optimistic and positive thinking space open to anyone with something on their mind, striving to be their best self.

Coaching is not about advice, therapy, diagnosis, or intervention - that is the space for psychologists, therapists and mental health practitioners. I believe coaching provides a different, and important, space focused on unlocking potential. It's space for the 'ah ha!' moments of insight that spark change.

My background

I am a cognitive behavioural neuroscientist - I'm about how we think and feel, what we do, and the way our brain makes all that happen! In my coaching practice, I have worked with people exploring career opportunities and job pressures, and people experiencing changes at home, as well as in the high-performance sports environment with international match officials on performance, decision-making and wellbeing. My broader career focuses on research and consulting where I work with communities and organisations to help them describe what they want to achieve, how to get there, and how they will know they are on track.

In many ways, you might think of a coach as a 'judgement-free' sounding board for whatever is on your mind - it's not my place to give you advice, but I will ask you questions and make observations to help you think things through, get clarity and unlock your potential. Through this process you will gain insight into your own thinking, your wellbeing, and will get ready to perform to your best.
